Frontend Designer & Developer (UI/UX)
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and optimise responsive web interfaces using Optimizely (Episerver) CMS and modern front‑end technologies. Collaborate with marketers, designers, and back‑end developers to translate wireframes into high‑quality, accessible digital experiences that meet performance and SEO standards. Provide CMS training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the Manh.com digital domain.
**Expectations**
- Deliver pixel‑perfect, performance‑optimised UI components that adhere to corporate design systems.
- Act as the UX lead for reviewing existing experiences and proposing enhancements across the site.
- Maintain clear, efficient, and version‑controlled code, meeting project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Train and support content managers in using Optimizely CMS for content creation, A/B testing, and personalization.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Develop high‑quality, responsive websites and web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
2. Implement, optimize, and maintain digital platforms within Optimizely CMS, leveraging its A/B testing, personalization, and analytics features.
3. Translate mockups and wireframes from design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) into functional interfaces, ensuring consistency with design systems and Storybook component libraries.
4. Collaborate with marketing, design, and back‑end teams to align project goals and execute efficient, cross‑functional solutions.
5. Write clean, modular code and employ best practices for performance, accessibility, and SEO across all devices.
6. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production front‑end issues promptly.
7. Provide CMS training, support, and content optimisation guidance to non‑technical stakeholders.
8. Contribute to design‑system maintenance, documentation, and prototyping (Framer Motion, Sass, Storybook).
9. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to continually refine processes.
**Required Skills**
- **Front‑End Development:** HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React/Angular/Vue, Sass, Framer Motion.
- **CMS Expertise:** Deep knowledge of Optimizely (Episerver) CMS, A/B testing, personalization, content architecture, API integration.
- **Design Tools:** Proficient in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and ability to translate UI/UX designs into code.
- **Performance & SEO:** Practical experience optimizing load times, implementing best SEO practices, and ensuring accessibility compliance (WCAG).
- **Version Control & Project Management:** Git, GitHub/GitLab; experience with Jira or similar workflow tools.
- **Communication & Collaboration:** Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead UX reviews, offer constructive feedback, and work cross‑functionally.
- **Problem‑Solving & Detail Orientation:** Troubleshoot complex front‑end and CMS issues; maintain pixel‑perfect, user‑centric solutions.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Human‑Computer Interaction, or equivalent professional experience.
- Optional certifications: React, Angular, Vue, or Optimizely CMS – not mandatory but preferred.
