Job Description

**Job Title:** Java Staff Engineer (Platform / IAM & Administration) **Role Summary:** Lead design and development of secure, scalable IAM systems for SaaS platforms, focusing on identity governance, access control, and compliance. **Expectations** - Provide technical leadership in identity and access management (IAM) - Shape security strategies for authentication, authorization, and compliance - Design and implement secure authentication services (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML) - Architect code to mitigate identity risks and embed secure-by-design principles - Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders **Key Responsibilities** - Design and evolve IAM solutions (RBAC, ABAC, fine-grained permissions) - Implement centralized authentication/authorization services and federated identity systems - Enforce secure API and service access via identity federation, token lifecycle management - Architect infrastructure for audit logging, anomaly detection, and governance reporting - Drive full project lifecycle from design through deployment - Improve code quality via unit tests, automation, and code reviews - Advocate for secure coding standards and document technical processes - Lead code reviews and ensure alignment with architecture and compliance goals **Required Skills** - 8–10+ years in large-scale SaaS IAM and distributed systems - Mastery of Java, Spring Boot, and stateless backend development - Expertise in OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SSO, MFA, JIT provisioning protocols - Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven identity workflows - Proficiency in cloud IAM (AWS/GCP), including STS tokens, roles, and policies - Deep understanding of data privacy regulations (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA) **Required Education & Certifications** Not specified.
