Job Description

**Job Title:** Build & Release Engineer (DevOps) **Role Summary:** Design, maintain, and enhance software delivery pipelines across multiple programs, blending configuration management with DevOps practices to optimize build, integration, and release processes. Own end-to-end workflows from source control to container orchestration. **Expectations:** Requires U.S. Citizenship to obtain a government security clearance. Requires expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD tools. Must manage cross-platform environments and collaborate effectively with development teams in Agile frameworks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own/improve end-to-end build, integration, and release workflows for multiple programs. - Design/maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), source control (Git), and automated build systems. - Architect containerized environments on Linux VMs using Docker, Podman, Kubernetes (k3s). - Administer/ troubleshoot Linux/Windows environments and virtualized infrastructure (VMware vSphere/ESXi). - Collaborate with development teams to resolve environment issues and streamline releases. - Automate infrastructure with Ansible, Vagrant, and create technical documentation. - Manage release packaging, license tracking, and configuration baselines across projects. **Required Skills:** - 2+ years in configuration management, build/release engineering, or DevSecOps. - Expertise in CI/CD tools and Kubernetes deployment. - Strong Linux command-line proficiency and scripting. - Virtualization experience (VMware vSphere/ESXi) and automation tools (Ansible, Vagrant). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a government security clearance.
