Job Description
Job Title: Staff Salesforce Engineer Role Summary: Design, architect, and implement scalable Salesforce CPQ solutions to support a robust Quote‑to‑Cash system, collaborating across Sales, Billing, and other downstream teams to drive transformational change and maintain system health and observability. Expectations: Deliver high‑velocity development using AI tools; design integrations; architect complex CPQ solutions that meet scalability and business requirements; apply deep expertise in Visualforce, Apex, JavaScript, and Trigger patterns; use Git for version control; resolve large, ambiguous problems; communicate effectively across all organizational levels; plan and sequence high‑risk, complex projects; lead multi‑stakeholder transformational initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Design durable, scalable Salesforce solutions for Quote‑to‑Order processes. • Partner with staff/principal engineers and managers to solve multi‑system challenges. • Advise and execute transformational systems projects. • Maintain a culture of quality, consistency, and observability. • Ensure continuous health and performance of Quote‑to‑Cash systems. Required Skills: • Rapid development via AI tools. • Integration design and implementation. • Proven architecture and deployment of complex Salesforce CPQ solutions. • Proficiency in Visualforce, Apex, JavaScript, and Trigger framework patterns. • Git experience. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for vague, large‑scale issues. • Excellent communication across technical and non‑technical audiences. • Project planning and sequencing under ambiguity or risk. • Leadership of transformational projects with multiple stakeholders. • Salesforce certifications (CPQ Specialist, Platform Developer I & II, Platform App Builder, System Architect) or equivalent experience. • Bonus: Snowflake, SQL, DBT, Ruby, Gearset or CI/CD experience. Required Education & Certifications: Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist; Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II; Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder; Salesforce Certified System Architect (or equivalent).
