**Job Title:** Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Provide technical leadership and hands‑on expertise securing enterprise infrastructure, networks, identity, endpoint, virtualisation, monitoring, and compliance across a complex, multi‑technology environment. Deliver resilient, compliant, and secure systems while improving security posture and supporting operational initiatives.
**Expectations:**
- Drive secure architecture decisions and implementation.
- Evaluate risk, compliance, cost, and operational impact to recommend sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, influence technical direction, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging threats.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, segmentation.
- Harden Microsoft platforms (Windows Server/Desktop), Active Directory, and Group Policies.
- Deploy and manage MFA solutions (YubiKey, RSA).
- Secure virtualisation platforms (Hyper‑V, VMware) and implement endpoint security (EDR, anti‑malware, DLP).
- Operate SIEM tools (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) for threat detection and incident response.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments (Qualys, Tenable) and lead remediation.
- Align controls with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, Cyber Essentials, and support audits.
- Perform technical assurance, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong experience in infrastructure or network security in large enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Server/Desktop, AD, Group Policies).
- Hands‑on with MFA, virtual‑isation, network appliances, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency with SIEM operations, vulnerability management, and threat detection.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, Cyber Essentials frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving, stakeholder communication, and decision‑making under pressure.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or similar security/IT certifications.
