Job Description
**Job Title** Graduate Software Engineer **Role Summary** A 12‑month rotational programme that develops secure, high‑performance software for defense and security applications. The role spans embedded systems, mobile and web applications, and product lifecycle activities in an Agile environment. **Expectations** - Graduate by Summer 2026 with a 2:1 or higher in a relevant degree. - British citizen, eligible for UK National Security Vetting (SC clearance). **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and test software in C/C++, Rust, Go, Python, and web frameworks. - Integrate code with FPGA/PLD devices and embedded hardware (Linux/RTOS). - Participate in all product‑lifecycle stages: requirements, architecture, coding, testing, and deployment. - Document design specifications and development decisions following industry best practices. - Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools. - Collaborate within multidisciplinary Agile teams to deliver project value. - Support STEM outreach initiatives and represent the company at events. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in at least one of C/C++, Rust, Go, Python, or relevant scripting (Python, Bash). - Experience with embedded systems (Linux on Raspberry Pi, Arduino, RTOS, microkernels). - Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS environments. - Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and systematic development skills. - Effective communication and collaboration within team settings. - Quick learning and application of new technologies. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum 2:1 degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Cyber Security. - Eligibility for UK National Security Vetting (SC clearance).
