Job Description
**Job title:** Qualitative Insights Researcher **Role Summary:** Conduct, analyze, and translate qualitative research to inform public health strategies and social care improvements. Lead community engagement projects that shape behaviour‑change programmes and influence policy decisions. **Expectations:** • Deliver high‑quality qualitative insights on a fixed‑term (2‑year) basis. • Demonstrate evidence‑based recommendations that drive measurable improvements in health and wellbeing. • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, bridging research, public health, adult social care, and policy stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and plan qualitative studies (interviews, focus groups, participant observation). - Recruit and engage diverse community participants; manage data collection ethically and efficiently. - Analyse qualitative data using thematic, content, or narrative techniques; integrate findings with mixed‑methods results. - Produce concise, actionable reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior decision‑makers. - Lead engagement activities, ensuring resident voices are central to service design. - Embed insights into decision‑making processes and support innovation in prevention and service delivery. - Foster collaboration, share best practices, and mentor junior researchers. **Required Skills:** - Advanced qualitative research methods (e.g., semi‑structured interviews, focus groups, thematic analysis). - Strong analytical and data‑management skills; proficiency in qualitative software (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti). - Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex findings into clear recommendations. - Stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building across public, private, and community sectors. - Demonstrated ability to influence policy and practice through research evidence. - Collaborative mindset, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams. - Experience in community engagement and public‑sector research projects. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Public Health, Social Sciences, Anthropology, Psychology, or related field. - Formal training or certification in qualitative research methods (e.g., accredited course, workshop, or professional qualification). ---
