Job Description
**Job title** IT Technician **Role Summary** Responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and security of the company’s IT infrastructure in a hybrid work environment. Manages Microsoft 365/Azure services, network devices, and end‑user devices while ensuring compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and Cyber Essentials. Drives continuous improvement and effective incident response to maintain high service levels. **Expactations** (Key outcome expectations) - Deliver 99 % uptime and meet SLA targets for all IT support requests. - Reduce operational inefficiencies and improve productivity through technology adoption and process optimisation. - Maintain robust security posture, including vulnerability remediation and incident response. - Ensure accurate asset lifecycle tracking, documentation, and compliance with data protection policies. **Key Responsibilities** - Administer and improve collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure AD) and network infrastructure (VPNs, Wi‑Fi). - Provide first‑level support for hybrid Mac/Windows users; perform device provisioning, troubleshooting, and remote diagnostics. - Manage IT service–management processes: ticketing, SLAs, incident documentation, and asset tracking. - Execute IT roadmap aligned with business goals; propose and implement new productivity, collaboration, and scalability tools. - Own security execution: endpoint management, patching, vulnerability management, access control, MFA/SSO. - Maintain data protection: backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. - Coach staff on technology best practices and security awareness. - Serve as first responder for cyber‑security incidents; coordinate with Compliance & IT Head on data‑breach response. - Perform change‑management, KPI reporting, and hardware lifecycle planning. **Required Skills** - Proficient with Azure AD, Microsoft 365 administration, and VPN/network configuration. - Experience managing mixed Mac/Windows environments, including Apple device administration. - Knowledge of ITIL principles (Foundation or higher). - Strong understanding of security frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, Cyber Essentials). - Ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes and prioritise tasks against company objectives. - Excellent documentation, training, and stakeholder‑management skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. - ITIL Foundation or higher certification. - Preferable certifications: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
