**Job title:** Information Technology Manager
**Role Summary:**
Strategic leader responsible for defining and implementing a multi‑year IT strategy that aligns with business goals, while ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant day‑to‑day IT operations. Reports to the CFO and focuses on governance, risk management, and vendor oversight.
**Expactations:**
- Drive the IT roadmap across infrastructure, security, applications, data, and digital tools.
- Lead the development, execution, and communication of the IT strategy to executive stakeholders.
- Maintain high standards of cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance (ISO 27001, ISO 27701, Cyber Essentials/Plus, NHS DSP Toolkit).
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Own the IT strategy and multi‑year planning.
- Evaluate and select applications, systems architecture, and technology investments.
- Manage, monitor, and hold accountable MSPs and technology vendors.
- Ensure robust governance for system adoption, integration, and decommissioning.
- Lead cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
- Oversee infrastructure performance, resilience, patching, backups, and business continuity.
- Lead key IT projects and support organisational change initiatives.
- Promote digital collaboration and continuous improvement within the business.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong technical credibility in infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, and SaaS ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT strategy and multi‑year roadmaps.
- Vendor and MSP management, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial stewardship of IT programs.
- In‑depth knowledge of cybersecurity and data governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Collaborative, organised, and improvement‑focused approach.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications in cybersecurity and governance (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 27701, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, or equivalent).
