Job Description

Job Title: System Engineer Role Summary: Deliver L3/L4 technical support and infrastructure management for a hardware R&D and manufacturing environment. Provision, configure, patch, and maintain Windows Server, Linux, AD, VMware, Hyper‑V, SAN, and backup systems. Create and maintain as‑built documentation, operating procedures, and vendor relationships. Perform technical assessments of emerging technologies and automate infrastructure tasks with scripting. Expectations: * Minimum 5 years of experience with Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy). * Proven ability to manage VMware and Hyper‑V virtual environments. * Hands‑on knowledge of SAN, iSCSI, load balancing, auto‑scaling, replication, and encryption. * Competence in Linux administration (optional but preferred). * Proficiency in BASH, PowerShell, or Python for automation. * Experience using Jira, ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. * Willingness to work onsite (5 days a week) in a manufacturing/cleanroom setting. Key Responsibilities: * Provide L3/L4 support for infrastructure‑related troubleshooting and end‑user hardware/software issues within SLAs. * Install, configure, patch, and maintain physical and virtual server environments. * Develop and maintain comprehensive as‑built documentation and operating procedures. * Conduct technical assessments of new technologies for integration into the environment. * Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement/maintenance activities. * Automate routine infrastructure tasks using scripting languages. * Ensure compliance with security protocols and cleanroom safety requirements. Required Skills: * Windows Server administration (admin, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO). * VMware vSphere and Hyper‑V management. * SAN and iSCSI storage configuration. * Linux administration basics. * Scripting: BASH, PowerShell, Python. * Ticketing system proficiency (Jira, ServiceNow). * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). * Relevant certifications such as MCSE (Windows Server), VCP (VMware), CompTIA Server+, or equivalent.
