NetDevOps Engineer – VMware NSX-T
**Role Summary**
Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise data‑center and cloud‑network solutions with a focus on VMware NSX‑T and Cisco ACI. Lead automation initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, and Python, while collaborating with security, product, and vendor stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient network architectures.
**Expectations**
- Senior‑level professional with 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data‑center networking, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Proven ability to steer large architecture and standardization projects within matrix or multinational settings.
- Fluency in English, strong communication skills for cross‑function coordination.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, implement, and validate VMware NSX‑T and Cisco ACI solutions across on‑prem and public‑cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
2. Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) templates in Terraform, Ansible playbooks, and Python scripts to automate deployment, scaling, and operations of network services.
3. Collaborate with security, product, design, and vendor teams to ensure secure, compliant, and cost‑effective network designs.
4. Participate in product lifecycle activities—requirements, architecture reviews, performance tuning, and enhancements.
5. Conduct capacity planning, QoS analysis, and continuous improvement of network performance and resilience.
6. Provide expert guidance and best‑practice advice on network design patterns, segmentation, SASE, VPN, firewalling, and related technologies.
7. Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the NetDevOps community.
**Required Skills**
- Deep expertise in VMware NSX‑T, VMware NSX‑Edge, and Cisco ACI architecture.
- Proficiency in IaC automation: Terraform, Ansible, and Python scripting.
- Strong foundation in data‑center networking: switch fabric, load balancers, MPLS, SD‑WAN, Wi‑Fi, LAN/WAN.
- Experience with network security technologies: SASE, VPN (Cisco, F5), firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco, Algosec), web gateways, segmentation.
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, security groups, VPN gateways, and inter‑cloud connectivity.
- Familiarity with automation synergy frameworks and continuous‑integration pipelines.
- Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and troubleshooting abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications: VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization (VCP‑NV), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent, Terraform Associate, Ansible Certified (optional but preferred).
- Security certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, or relevant vendor credentials enhance candidacy.
