Director Security Architecture & Engineering
Role Summary
Lead the enterprise security architecture and engineering program for a global telecommunications operator. Define security strategy, design scalable security frameworks, and embed security‑by‑design principles across hybrid, cloud‑native, and on‑prem environments. Own the security technology roadmap, drive automation, and foster a high‑performing, cross‑cultural security team.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a security engineering team focused on design, implementation, and optimization of security controls.
* Own the enterprise security architecture framework: define standards, threat models, and secure design patterns.
* Conduct architectural reviews to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
* Champion a security‑by‑default culture across engineering and product teams.
* Own the security technology roadmap; evaluate and adopt emerging technologies.
* Partner with senior business and technology leaders to align security initiatives with strategic objectives.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and collaboration within the security team.
Required Skills
* Senior leadership experience in security architecture and engineering in large, complex, global environments.
* Deep expertise in security principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., network security, cloud security, identity & access management, threat modeling).
* Proven experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and secure DevOps practices.
* Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., TSA, NIS2, DORA, GDPR).
* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to assess complex security challenges and make data‑driven decisions.
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP) preferred.
