Job Title: Senior Sales Director | Hedge Funds
Role Summary:
Senior Sales Director responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring and expanding relationships with hedge funds and related buy‑side firms. Leverages deep knowledge of hedge fund workflows and enterprise data solutions to articulate value, close deals, and maintain long‑term client success in a fast‑moving fintech environment.
Expectations:
- Achieve targeted revenue and pipeline metrics through new account acquisition and expansion of existing hedge fund relationships.
- Manage end‑to‑end sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and onboarding, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Maintain strong, senior‑level relationships with portfolio managers, quants, traders, and technologists.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to refine solutions, messaging, and collateral.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, qualify, and convert hedge funds and sophisticated market participants to generate new revenue.
- Conduct deep client discovery to understand strategies, pain points, data needs, and competitive landscape.
- Deliver tailored demos and presentations that clearly demonstrate the platform’s value proposition.
- Develop and refine sales collateral, whitepapers, case studies, and product stories aligned with market trends.
- Maintain and update pipeline, forecasts, and account activities in the CRM with accuracy and transparency.
- Own full commercial lifecycle: initial engagement → negotiation → onboarding → long‑term account growth.
- Monitor market structure, regulatory shifts, competitor offerings, and hedge fund demand to inform strategy.
- Work collaboratively across US, London, and other regional teams to standardize best practices.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience targeting hedge funds, CTAs, multi‑manager firms, or systematic trading companies.
- Proven track record of closing enterprise‑grade deals with sophisticated financial clients.
- In‑depth understanding of hedge fund use of market data, analytics, TCA, execution metrics, and research tools.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; able to translate complex data capabilities into clear commercial pitches.
- Proactive, self‑directed, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering, and marketing teams to capture client feedback and influence product development.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus but not mandatory.
