Job Description
Job title: Rental Property Claims Manager Role Summary: Manage and resolve insurance claims for rental properties, ensuring accurate assessment, coordination of repairs, and timely communication with tenants, owners, and service providers. Expectations: - 3+ years in property claims, insurance, or property management. - Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to handle sensitive situations calmly. - Fluency in French and English; excellent telephone and written communication skills. Key Responsibilities: - Receive and triage incoming claims calls from tenants, owners, and partners. - Collect and evaluate claim information; verify coverage and contract compliance. - Open, register, and track claim files for incidents such as water damage, fire, break‑ups, and miscellaneous damages. - Coordinate experts, contractors, insurers, and property managers to facilitate assessments and repairs. - Maintain administrative and technical records through claim closure. - Provide regular updates to clients on claim status and required actions. - Resolve conflicts and handle sensitive issues professionally and empathetically. - Update management tools and produce exchange reports. - Follow internal procedures and meet processing deadlines. Required Skills: - In‑depth knowledge of property insurance policies and claims processes. - Phone etiquette, active listening, and clear communication. - Analytical and synthesis abilities for efficient dossier handling. - High organizational standards, attention to detail, and punctuality. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Real Estate, Insurance, Business Administration, or related field. - Professional certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Claims Professional (CP) preferred.
