**Job Title:** IT Operations Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for deploying, managing, and supporting core IT infrastructure and security solutions across hybrid environments. Works on endpoint security, Microsoft 365 services, VDI platforms, network/firewall administration, and automation. Provides day‑to‑day user support, handles incident resolution, and contributes to IT projects, migrations, and process improvements.
**Expectations:**
- 1–3 years of experience in IT operations or system administration.
- Ability to obtain UK Government Security Clearance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proactive learning mindset and clear communication with end users and technical teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deploy and manage endpoint security (application control, advanced threat protection).
- Administer Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams), configure SSO/SAML, and manage identity/access.
- Implement and maintain RMM tools and VDI solutions (Citrix, AWS, AVD, VMware Horizon).
- Manage Windows Server infrastructure (AD, DNS, Group Policy) and network/firewall changes.
- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell.
- Support IT projects: security rollouts, data migrations, hardware relocations, and workload optimization.
- Provide Tier 1/2 end‑user support, prioritize tickets, and resolve complex issues.
- Perform vulnerability remediation, break/fix activities, and hardware/software asset lifecycle management.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps; recommend improvements based on emerging technologies.
**Required Skills:**
- Endpoint management and EDR tools.
- Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams.
- RMM platforms and PowerShell scripting.
- VDI technologies (Citrix, AWS, Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon).
- Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy.
- Network and firewall configuration.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to obtain UK Government Security Clearance.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, CompTIA Security+, ITIL) are advantageous but not mandatory.
