**Job Title** Software Engineer – Quantitative Trading Systems **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance, low‑latency trading software and exchange gateways. Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and traders to implement cutting‑edge trading strategies and continuously scale system throughput while ensuring stability and compliance. **Expectations** - Deliver robust, maintainable C++ code that meets strict latency and reliability targets. - Contribute to architecture decisions, boosting system scalability and reducing operational risk. - Demonstrate a proven track record of competitive advantage (e.g., hackathon placement, awards, or notable academic achievements). - Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and adapt to fast‑moving project priorities. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and optimize low‑latency trading engines and micro‑services. - Implement and maintain market gateway connectivity (FIX protocol, FIX‑CM, or direct feed handling). - Scale existing trading infrastructure, leveraging distributed system concepts and cloud/on‑prem resources. - Work closely with quantitative analysts to integrate research models into production. - Perform code reviews, unit testing, and performance profiling; ensure adherence to coding standards and security guidelines. - Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, providing root‑cause analysis and preventive measures. **Required Skills** - Proficient in C/C++, including advanced language features, memory management, and concurrency. - Experience building low‑latency, high‑throughput systems. - Strong grasp of distributed systems, networking fundamentals, and system architecture. - Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. - Ability to write clean, well‑documented, and performant code. **Beneficial (but not required)** - Knowledge of Python for rapid prototyping and data pipeline integration. - Prior experience in high‑frequency trading, finance, or startup environments. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related STEM field. - Master’s or Ph.D. in a STEM discipline is an advantage. ---
