**Job Title**
Technical Lead DevOps
**Role Summary**
Lead the DevOps engineering practice within the App Hosting core team, guiding a global fleet of engineers to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable infrastructure services. Drive strategy, best practices, and continuous improvement while serving internal product teams through an Internal Development Platform (IDP).
**Expectations**
- Demonstrate deep technical mastery of containerization, CI/CD, IaC, and cloud platforms.
- Lead and collaborate across cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with business and product objectives.
- Proactively solve complex system issues with strategic, customer‑centric thinking.
- Innovate, adopt emerging technologies, and continuously refine processes.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent to build a high‑performance DevOps capability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Red Hat OpenShift, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code; script deployments in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Design and enforce security, compliance, and operational standards across the organization’s infrastructure.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives, collaborate with Platform Engineering, and drive delivery of the IDP for feature teams.
- Create strategic roadmaps, set milestones, and measure performance against continuous‑improvement goals.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and secure stakeholder alignment on priorities and solutions.
**Required Skills**
- 7+ years of commercial DevOps experience with proven leadership.
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Red Hat OpenShift, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and/or Go.
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) implementation experience.
- Leadership, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical details to business audiences.
- Knowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and continuous delivery.
- Experience mentoring and building engineering teams.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Relevant certifications preferred: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent.
