Job Title: Investment Banking Intern – Central Eastern Europe Team (Off‑Cycle Internship)
Role Summary:
Provide analytical and support services for M&A, ECM, DCM, and sovereign advisory deals focused on Central and Eastern Europe, CIS, Turkey, and Greece. Assist in transaction execution, presentation development, valuation, and global banker coordination.
Expectations:
- Internships within finance or consulting.
- Excellent academic record (Bachelor's or Master’s in Finance, Economics, or related field).
- Fluency in at least one CEE regional language (Polish, Czech, Romanian, Serbian, Croatian, Russian, etc.).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage administrative requirements for non‑EU students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high‑quality presentation materials for client engagements in M&A, ECM, DCM, and sovereign advisory.
- Conduct company valuations using DCF, LBO, comparable, and transaction multiples.
- Support ongoing transaction execution, including deal diligence, financial modeling, and client communication.
- Liaise with Lazard bankers worldwide to coordinate advisory services and share market insights.
Required Skills:
- Financial modeling and valuation expertise (DCF, LBO, comparables).
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of CEE markets, regulatory environment, and industry sectors (TMT, retail, healthcare, transportation, energy).
- Multilingual ability with a CEE regional language and English.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- Academic GPA typically above 3.5/4.0.
- No specific professional certifications required, but coursework in valuation, corporate finance, or M&A is advantageous.
