**Job title**
UX/UI Designer (French or Dutch speaking, 50% Brussels onsite / 50% remote)
**Role Summary**
Translate concept designs into intuitive, high‑quality user flows and screens. Own the digital user journey, balancing usability, accessibility, and business objectives to deliver compelling experiences across mobile native and web platforms.
**Expectations**
- Deliver polished, pixel‑perfect mockups and prototypes.
- Lead refinement of projects, support ideation with visual input.
- Ensure alignment with design system, accessibility standards, and development feasibility.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, copywriters, developers, and researchers.
- Maintain high‑level fluency in French or Dutch (C1), and functional English (B1/B2).
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design end‑to‑end flow paths and screen states, ensuring quality and goal orientation.
2. Gather stakeholder input on user needs and technical constraints.
3. Draw inspiration from industry best‑practice, especially in finance.
4. Build high‑fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes (Figma).
5. Iterate designs based on usability testing and stakeholder feedback.
6. Collaborate closely with UX copywriter for content integration.
7. Contribute to and maintain the bank’s mobile‑first design system (components, guidelines).
8. Engage in the UX/UI Community of Practice: share knowledge, co‑create patterns, and provide support.
9. Deliver final designs to front‑end developers (Zeplin, Figma assets) and monitor implementation.
10. Document design rationale, create briefs for researchers and developers, and maintain design assets.
**Required Skills**
- Mobile‑first mindset; experience with mobile native design (Material Design, Human Interface Guidelines).
- Proficiency in Figma, Zeplin, and other common design tools.
- Familiarity with design systems: consumption and creation of components.
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility guidelines and their impact on UI.
- Agile/Scrum knowledge; comfortable working in iterative cycles.
- Basic front‑end development awareness (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus.
- Strong documentation, briefing, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Creative, structured, goal‑oriented, collaborative, and proactive communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or related field.
- No mandatory certifications, but knowledge of WCAG, UX research methods, or Agile practices is desirable.
